Amanda Youngblood, MA, LPC, is a licensed professional counselor in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children's, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in providing person-centered care to at-risk individuals struggling with adjustment concerns, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. Additionally, Amanda Youngblood is a health professional specialist and serves as a pediatric licensed counselor for the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry’s Texas Child Mental Health Care Consortium.
Amanda Youngblood earned her master’s in counseling from St Edward’s University and her bachelor’s in psychology from Texas A&M University. She completed a graduate internship with Communities in Schools of Central Texas, where she provided individual and group counseling services to at-risk high school students.
Amanda Youngblood previously worked in community-based treatment programs within Austin Travis Integral Care, where she had the opportunity to assist diverse populations in improving their overall well-being. During her time at Integral Care, she completed psychological assessments, provided crisis interventions, helped patients access community resources, collaborated with community partners, and worked with multidisciplinary colleagues to better address individual needs. She later had the opportunity to return to St. Edward’s University, where she served as Staff Counselor at the Health and Counseling Center, working with students who struggled with various mental health concerns. She is passionate about both providing person-centered mental health care to improve overall well-being and building healthier communities.
