Clinical Biography

Kalisi Logan, MS, CGC, is a certified genetic counselor in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin’s Livestrong Cancer Institutes. She is also a part of both UT Health Austin's Hereditary Cancer Screening and Risk Reduction care team and UT Health Austin's CaLM Care Team In her role, she helps people understand and adapt to the medical, psychological, and familial implications of genetic conditions. This includes assessing the likelihood of a genetic condition within a family, educating patients and families about genetic conditions, assisting patients in decision-making regarding genetic testing, and translating complex genetic test results into practical medical management decisions. Additionally, Kalisi Logan is a genetic counselor for the Dell Medical School Department of Oncology.

Kalisi Logan earned her master’s in genetic counseling from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and her bachelor’s in biology from The University of Texas at Austin.

Kalisi Logan is a member of the Ascension Seton Cancer Committee, the National Society of Genetic Counselors, and the Texas Society of Genetic Counselors. She received the Texas Society of Genetic Counselors Grant Award in 2018, which provided funding for her master’s thesis, “Attitudes Toward Dating BRCA-Positive Previvors.”
