Patrice Scott, RD, LD, CNSC, is a registered dietitian in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She is also a part of UT Health Austin’s Integrated Behavioral Health care team. She specializes in using evidence-based nutrition to develop individualized nutrition care plans that help pediatric patients meet their personal health goals, optimize clinical outcomes, and improve quality of life.
Patrice Scott earned her bachelor’s in nutrition sciences from The University of Texas at Austin, where she completed a dietetic internship through the Coordinated Program in Dietetics. She also earned her certification as a nutrition support clinician through the National Board of Nutrition Support Certification.
Patrice Scott has authored several publications, including "A Pre-Operative Standardized Feeding Protocol Improves Human Milk Use in Infants with Complex Congenital Heart Disease" and “Intravenous Iron Replacement Therapy in Infants with Intestinal Failure in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit” as well as many pediatric nutrition support guides.
