Clinical Biography
Arjun Mahendran, MD, is an adult and pediatric cardiologist in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease program, a clinical partnership between UT Health Austin and Dell Children's Medical Center. Dr. Mahendran brings his passion for comprehensive, multidisciplinary care for patients of all ages with congenital heart disease. Additionally, he is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics. His academic interests include long-term outcome research in adults with congenital heart disease, with a specific focus on those with Fontan physiology.
Dr. Mahendran received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica. He completed his general pediatric residency at the University of Kansas - Wichita, his pediatric cardiology fellowship at the University of Florida, and his advanced adult congenital cardiology fellowship at Cincinnati Children's. Dr. Mahendran is board-certified in pediatrics, and pediatric cardiology, and board eligible in adult congenital cardiology.
Dr. Mahendran is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics and the American College of Cardiology.
