About Urology
Urology is a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin, the clinical practice of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin.
The Urology care team diagnoses, treats, and manages disorders of the urinary system, including the adrenal gland, kidney, ureter, bladder, prostate, and urethra, and the male reproductive system in adult patients (18 years and older). We work with you to address your concerns and offer you personalized care specific to your needs.
Urology is the only clinical practice in Central Texas that is comprised of an entire team of nationally recognized fellowship-trained urologists.
Treatment Approach
Our team of fellowship-trained urologists have completed additional years of advanced study across multiple areas of urologic care, including endourology (minimally invasive surgery), urologic oncology (cancers of the male and female urinary tract and the male reproductive organs), and genitourinary reconstruction and trauma.
Patients are cared for by a dedicated multidisciplinary care team, meaning you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines. Our board-certified and fellowship-trained urologists have extensive experience in the medical and surgical treatment of the urinary system and the male genital tract and work alongside a team of health experts, including physician assistants, nurses, advanced practice providers, and more, providing unparalleled care for patients every step of the way.
We collaborate closely with referring physicians and other partners in the community, including medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, gynecologists, nephrologists, rheumatologists, and surgical oncologists, to schedule and coordinate any additional care services you may need.
We also collaborate with our colleagues at the Dell Medical School and The University of Texas at Austin to utilize the latest research, diagnostic, and treatment techniques, to deliver highly specialized procedures and offer personalized treatment options with a focus on increasing overall quality of life. Treatment options may involve supplements, medication, nonoperative interventions, such as physical therapy, or a range of surgical treatments, such as novel robotic and other minimally invasive approaches or organ-sparing surgery.
Appointment Information
Our goal is to provide you with a treatment plan that addresses your concerns as quickly as possible. Oftentimes, this can be accomplished during your initial visit. Depending upon your particular condition, additional testing and labs may be necessary. If you have undergone testing or labs at another facility, please submit your results, including images, via email at ssgurologyteam@ascension.org or fax at 1-512-324-7870. Sharing these results prior to your appointment can help optimize your time with your care team.
