Clinical Biography
Audrey Cortesi, PsyD, is a licensed pediatric psychologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in providing care for patients and families through the Dell Children’s Medical Center’s pediatric inpatient Consultation-Liaison Behavioral Health Team. She also offers short-term outpatient psychology services through the Bridge Clinic at the Texas Child Study Center to provide continuity of care for patients who have been recently hospitalized. Additionally, Dr. Cortesi is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Cortesi earned a dual bachelor’s degree in school psychology with an emphasis in deaf studies and psychology with minors in Spanish and special education and rehabilitation from the University of Arizona. She earned both her master's degree in clinical psychology and her doctor of psychology degree from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium. She completed a predoctoral internship in psychology at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and a postdoctoral fellowship in psychology at the Dell Children’s Medical Center Texas Child Study Center.
Dr. Cortesi’s clinical work incorporates developmental and environmental factors to adapt interventions to the unique needs of youth and families and to empower them to support improved mental health and overall well-being. Using a culturally responsive, evidence-based approach, she strives to create a collaborative space that highlights the inherent strengths of children, teens, and families. Dr. Cortesi also collaborates closely with interpreter services to enhance collaboration across disciplines and promote health equity for linguistically diverse patients and families.
