Audrey Cortesi, PsyD, is a licensed pediatric psychologist in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in providing care for patients and families through the Dell Children’s Medical Center’s pediatric inpatient consultation-liaison mental health team. She also provides outpatient psychology services through the Dell Children’s Ear, Nose, and Throat Center within The Hearing Center. Additionally, Dr. Cortesi is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.
Dr. Cortesi earned her Doctor of Psychology degree and her master’s in clinical psychology from the PGSP-Stanford PsyD Consortium. She also earned her dual bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in Spanish and special education, rehabilitation, and school psychology with an emphasis in Deaf studies from the University of Arizona. She completed a predoctoral internship in psychology at the Children’s Hospital of Orange County and a postdoctoral fellowship in psychology at Dell Children’s Medical Center/Texas Child Study Center.
Dr. Cortesi’s clinical work incorporates developmental and environmental factors to adapt interventions to the unique needs of her patients. She utilizes a culturally responsive, evidence-based approach that highlights the inherent strengths of children, teens, and families. She strives to create a collaborative space that empowers patients and caregivers to promote mental health and overall wellbeing. Her services are also offered in both American Sign Language (ASL) and Spanish to provide accessible, individualized support.
