Clinical Biography
Austin Adair, MD, is a board-certified pediatric cardiac critical care intensivist in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in cardiac critical care. Additionally, Dr. Adair is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Adair earned his bachelor’s in biochemistry from Baylor University and his medical degree from Texas A&M Health Sciences Center College of Medicine. He completed both an internship and residency in pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine as well as a fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and a senior fellowship in pediatric cardiac critical care medicine at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Adair’s research interests include quality improvement in which high-quality care delivery can be improved upon to generate even better patient experiences and outcomes. He is also interested in staff education around the nuances of the care of patients with congenital heart lesions.
Dr. Adair is a pediatric cardiac critical care intensivist with UT Health Austin.
