Emily Brooke, LCSW

Clinical Biography

Emily Brooke, LCSW, is the licensed clinical social worker for Digestive Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension and UT Health Austin. She is also a part of UT Health Austin’s Health Social Work care team. She specializes in patient-centered care surrounding transitions and coping with greater life challenges.

Emily Brooke earned her bachelor's degree in sociology from the University of Southern California, during which she studied abroad at the University of Cape Town. She also earned her master's degree in social work at The University of Texas at Austin.

Emily Brooke formerly worked with transition-aged youth in foster care and her training has involved crisis, play, and sand tray therapy, motivational interviewing, restorative justice, and more. Her goal is to help patients envision ways they are already coping, succeeding, and navigating the complex set of experiences that make up their lives.
