Clinical Biography
Emily Ramirez, DO is a pediatric epileptologist and neurogeneticist in the Dell Children's Comprehensive Pediatric Epilepsy Center within UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children’s, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. In addition, she is an assistant professor of neurology at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School. Dr. Ramirez has special interests in complex pediatric epilepsy, neurogenetics, and adolescent transition of care.
Dr. Ramirez earned her undergraduate degree from St. Edward's University and her medical degree at University of North Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed residencies in pediatrics and child neurology as well as a fellowship in pediatric epilepsy at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School.
She was awarded the Lisa & Steve Roach Award for Resident Publication.
