Emy Smith, MSN, AGACNP-BC

Clinical Biography

Emy Smith, MSN, AGACNP-BC, is a licensed adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner in the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. With extensive experience in perioperative care of cardiothoracic surgery patients, she specializes in adult-gerontology acute care.

Emy Smith earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration from The University of Texas at Austin and both her bachelor’s degree and master’s degrees in nursing from Columbia University in the City of New York.

Emy Smith previously worked at Baylor University Medical Center, where she supported patients across various teams, including inpatient cardiovascular and thoracic surgery, the cardiothoracic and transplant intensive care unit, and lung transplant.

Emy Smith is an adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner with UT Health Austin.
