Erika is a licensed clinical social worker for Women's Health a clinical partnership between Ascension and UT Health Austin. She is part of UT Health Austin's Integrated Behavioral Health Team. Erika practices with a client-centered approach, using principles from therapy modalities, like, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and trauma-informed interventions.
Erika earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a minor in International Relations at the University of Connecticut, and her master's in social work at Hunter College. Erika has experience as a case manager and mental health provider in community-based settings and in inpatient mental health settings, working with youth, adults, families, and groups. Erika's clinical interests include expanding her knowledge around trauma-informed care to support individuals as they attend to their well-being.
