Clinical Biography

Erika Simpson MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC, CCRN, is a licensed acute care pediatric nurse practitioner with the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in caring for pediatric patients with congenital and acquired heart disease and their families in the cardiac intensive care setting.

Erika Simpson earned her bachelor's degree from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center of San Antonio and her Master of Science in Nursing from Texas Tech University Health Science Center, where she graduated magna cum laude. She is a board certified acute care pediatric nurse practitioner. Erika Simpson is a member of the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Society. She is committed to providing high-quality, family-centered care to the pediatric patients she serves with over 7 years of experience as congenital cardiac nurse.
