Holly Gunn, MD

Clinical Biography

Holly Gunn, MD, is a board-certified anesthesiologist in the Comprehensive Fetal Care Center, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in administering anesthesia for pregnant mothers undergoing complex fetal surgery. Additionally, Dr. Gunn is an affiliate faculty member in the Dell Medical School Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care.

Dr. Gunn earned her bachelor’s in interdisciplinary studies from the University of Virginia and her medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania. She completed an internship in internal medicine at the Graduate Hospital and both a residency in anesthesiology and a fellowship in obstetric anesthesiology at the University of Washington School of Medicine.

Dr. Gunn previously served as an assistant clinical professor of anesthesia at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she spent the vast majority of her time teaching obstetric anesthesiology. Her clinical and research interests revolve around ethics, and she is currently chairing the Ascension Seton Medical Center Austin Ethics Integration Committee. She is a member of the American Society of Anesthesiologists, the Society for Obstetric Anesthesiology and Perinatology, the Texas Medical Association, the Texas Society of Anesthesiologist, and the Travis County Medical Society.

Dr. Gunn is an anesthesiologist with Capital Anesthesiology Assocation.
