Clinical Biography
Jeremy Affolter, MD, is a board-certified pediatric cardiac critical care intensivist and the Associate Director of Cardiac Critical Care for the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in cardiac critical care. Additionally, Dr. Affolter is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Affolter earned his medical degree from the University of Kansas. He completed a residency in internal medicine and pediatrics at the University of Missouri as well as fellowships in both pediatric critical care and pediatric cardiology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Affolter serves as the Associate Director of the Cardiac Care Unit at Dell Children’s. His research interests include optimization of critical care outcomes through assessment of quality and safety of management as well as single ventricle physiology care paradigms.
Dr. Affolter is a pediatric cardiac critical care intensivist with UT Health Austin.
