Clinical Biography

Joseph Gooch, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant in Digestive Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. He specializes in gastroenterology and provides comprehensive patient care, including medical evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment management for a wide range of gastrointestinal conditions.

Joseph Gooch earned his bachelor’s degree in nutritional sciences from The University of Texas at Austin and his master’s degree in physician assistant studies from UT Health San Antonio.

Joseph Gooch has extensive experience in gastroenterology, evidence-based medicine, and patient education. His clinical interests include chronic pancreatitis, exocrine pancreatic insufficiency, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), abdominal pain, and using dietary interventions to promote overall digestive health. He is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants.
