Clinical Biography
Karen Wright, MD, is a board-certified interventional cardiologist in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in pediatric cardiology. Additionally, Dr. Wright is an affiliate faculty member in both the Dell Medical School Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care and the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Wright earned her medical degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. She completed her residency in pediatrics at Rainbow Babies and Children's Hospital/Case Western Reserve University, where she served as chief resident, and completed a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at the Children’s Memorial Hospital/Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine.
Dr. Wright is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology. She also serves on the HeartGift Foundation Executive Committee and is a member of the Travis County Medical Society, the Texas Medical Association and the American Heart Association.
Dr. Wright is an interventional cardiologist with Pediatric & Congenital Cardiology Associates of Texas.
