Kayla Richards, LCSW

Clinical Biography

Kayla Richards, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in the Dell Children’s Pediatric Neuromuscular Disease Center and the Pediatric Neurology Clinic within UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children's, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in helping families identify barriers to care and navigate complex systems, including referrals and community resources. Additionally, Kayla Richards is a practicum instructor for graduate-level social work students at The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work.

Kayla Richards earned her bachelor’s degree in child and family studies from Baylor University and her master’s degree in social work with a clinical concentration from The University of Texas at Austin Steve Hicks School of Social Work. She was also recognized as an Integrated Behavioral Health Scholar.

Kayla Richards is dedicated to providing compassionate care and advocacy for patients and their families. She has experience in case management, psychosocial assessments, parent support and education, school advocacy, individual and group counseling, and crisis intervention. She is also an active member of the National Association of Social Workers.
