Kelsie Piedra, LCSW

Clinical Biography

Kelsie Piedra, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children's, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She brings nearly a decade of experience providing client-centered services throughout various community-based hospitals, mental health, and behavioral health initiatives. Her areas of clinical experience include trauma-focused care, bereavement, adolescent development, and supporting individuals with mood, anxiety, and psychotic spectrum disorders.

Kelsie Piedra earned her master's degree in social work with a clinical concentration from the University of Pennsylvania. She discovered a passion for adolescent services during her time with the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia's Adolescent Initiative, where she supported youth and families in the child welfare and juvenile justice systems in an outpatient specialty care setting. She has worked in clinical capacities with the Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual DisAbility Services and the Philadelphia Department of Public Health.

Kelsie Piedra has experience with evidence-based treatment modalities, including cognitive behavioral therapy, recovery-oriented cognitive therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. Kelsie contributes to team-based telehealth consultation services through the Texas Child Health Access Through Telemedicine (TCHATT) initiatives and is committed to supporting the mental health needs of youth and their families.
