Lauren Westin, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC/PC

Clinical Biography

Lauren Westin, MSN, APRN, CPNP-AC/PC, is a licensed acute care pediatric nurse practitioner in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in caring for infants, children, and adolescents with congenital heart disease and defects.

Lauren Westin earned her bachelor’s degree in biology with a minor in nutrition from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. She earned her master’s degree in nursing with an emphasis in clinical nurse leadership from Marquette University and her dual master’s in nursing, becoming a certified pediatric nurse practitioner in both acute and primary care, from Emory University.

Lauren Westin previously served as a registered nurse in a level III neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) before providing medical care as an advanced practice registered nurse at a pediatric hospital specializing in eating disorders. Her clinical interests include aiding in the growth and development of children with heart disease through proper nutrition. She is passionate about providing personalized care that meets patients’ specific needs. Lauren is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners.
