Clinical Biography
Leah Ferrante, MD, is a pediatric neurologist with UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children's, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. Dr. Ferrante specializes in pediatric neurology, fetal and neonatal neurology, and diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disabilities. Additionally, she serves as an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Department of Neurology at The University of Texas at Austin Dell Medical School.
Dr. Ferrante earned her Bachelor of Science degree in biology with an option in neuroscience and a minor in the Japanese language from The Pennsylvania State University. She completed her medical degree from West Virginia University School of Medicine. Following her residency in pediatrics and neurodevelopmental disabilities from Baylor College of Medicine, she completed a fellowship in fetal and neonatal neurology at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center.
Dr. Ferrante is a published author and researcher. She is a member of the Newborn Brain Society, the Texas Neurological Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, and the American Academy of Neurology.
