Clinical Biography

MayaJoy Sheridan, BSN, RN, is a licensed registered nurse and serves as a Transplant Nurse Coordinator in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in the coordination of transplant care for infants, children, and adolescents and their families.

MayaJoy Sheridan earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Johns Hopkins University and her bachelor’s degree in romance languages, literatures, and linguistics from the University of Notre Dame.

MayaJoy Sheridan’s past experience includes serving as a registered nurse in the cardiac intensive care unit at Children’s National Hospital, where she was awarded the DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nursing. Her clinical interests include patient safety and quality improvement.
