Clinical Biography
Meryl Simon Logan, MD, RPVI, is a board-certified vascular surgeon in the Institute for Cardiovascular Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension and UT Health Austin. She specializes in limb salvage, with a focus on peripheral arterial and venous procedures. Additionally, Dr. Logan is an assistant professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care at The University of Texas at Austin.
Dr. Logan earned her bachelor’s degree in biology from Muhlenberg College and her medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine. She completed a residency in vascular surgery at UC Davis Health and Travis Air Force Base.
Dr. Logan formerly served as an Air Force surgeon for 11 years on active duty, where she was previously stationed at the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System. She currently serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Vascular Surgery: Venous and Lymphatic Disorders and on the editorial boards of the Journal of Vascular Surgery and the Journal of Vascular Surgery: Cases, Innovations and Techniques. She is an active member of the Texas Society for Vascular & Endovascular Surgery and the Society for Vascular Surgery.
