Michelle Tarango, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She is also a part of UT Health Austin's Health Social Work care team. She specializes in caring for children with heart failure and those who have received heart transplants.
Michelle Tarango earned both her bachelor’s degree in psychology and her bachelor’s degree in human development from University of California, Davis and her master's degree in social work from The University of Texas at Austin.
Michelle Tarango has extensive experience working with children and families in various settings, including schools, residential treatment centers, and the juvenile justice system. She is a member of the Society for Transplant Social Workers.
