Molly Clayton, MSN, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Clinical Biography

Molly Clayton, MSN, ARPN, PMHNP-BC, is a licensed pediatric psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner in UT Health Austin Pediatric Psychiatry at Dell Children's, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in working with pediatric and adolescent patients with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, and psychotic disorders with a special interest in patients who have experienced trauma.

Molly Clayton earned her first bachelor's degree in public health science from Santa Clara University. She went on to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing from New York University and a master's degree in nursing in the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner program at Texas State University. She completed her pediatric psychiatric nurse practitioner training at Dell Children's Medical Center in the inpatient mental health unit.

Molly Clayton has a wide breadth of nursing experience in pediatric surgical trauma and medical settings in addition to her pediatric and adolescent psychiatry experience and training. As a psychiatric provider, she hopes to blend her previous medical experience with her psychiatric training to provide holistic, evidence-based, and compassionate mental health care via a biopsychosocial model.
