Ron Shapiro, MD

Clinical Biography

Ronald Shapiro, MD, is a board-certified Pediatric Cardiologist Consulting Clinician within the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin. He specializes in general pediatric cardiology and echocardiography. Additionally, Dr. Shapiro is an affiliate faculty member in the Dell Medical School Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care.

Dr. Shapiro received his medical degree from the University of North Carolina, School of Medicine. He completed his residency in pediatrics and internal medicine at Indiana University Medical Center, and his fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Cincinnati, OH.

Dr. Shapiro is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Travis County Medical Society, American Academy of Pediatrics, American College of Cardiology, and Society of Pediatric Echocardiography.

Dr. Shapiro is a practicing physician at Pediatric Cardiology of Austin.
