Ron Shapiro, MD, is a board-certified pediatric cardiologist in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in general pediatric cardiology and echocardiography. Additionally, Dr. Shapiro is an affiliate faculty member in both the Dell Medical School Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care and the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Shapiro earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine. He completed a residency in pediatrics and internal medicine at Indiana University Health University Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Shapiro is a member of the Texas Medical Association, the Travis County Medical Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Cardiology and the Society of Pediatric Echocardiography.
