Clinical Biography
Roozbeh Taeed, MD, is a board-certified pediatric cardiac critical care intensivist and the Medical Director of Cardiac Acute Care Service for the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, the clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. He specializes in caring for patients with critical congenital or acquired pediatric heart disease. Additionally, Dr. Affloter is an associate professor in both the Dell Medical School Department of Surgery and Perioperative Care and the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.
Dr. Taeed earned his medical degree from The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and his bachelor’s from Texas A&M University. He completed both an internship and residency in pediatrics at The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston Health Children’s Hospital and a fellowship in pediatric cardiology with advanced training in cardiac critical care at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.
Dr. Taeed’s clinical interests involve medical education and team building to provide complex medical care. He is a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and has participated as a team member in international medical care services.
