Sandhya R. Ramlogan, MBChB, FASE, FAAP, is a board-certified cardiologist in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children’s Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She specializes in pediatric cardiology with a focus on congenital heart disease, advanced cardiac imaging, and perioperative echocardiography. Additionally, Dr. Ramlogan is an associate professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics at The University of Texas at Austin.

Dr. Ramlogan earned her medical degree from the Leeds School of Medicine in the United Kingdom, where she graduated with honors. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Elmhurst Hospital Center through the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai and both a fellowship in pediatric cardiology and a fellowship in advanced non-invasive cardiac imaging, with a focus on 3D echocardiography, fetal echocardiography, transesophageal echocardiography, at Children's Mercy Kansas City.

Dr. Ramlogan formerly served as the Associate Medical Director for 3D and interventional echocardiography at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital of Chicago, where she played a pivotal role in establishing several programs, including 3D and interventional echocardiography (echo), contrast echo, echo for extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and ventricular assist device (VAD) protocols, and fetal outreach. She also served as the Chair of the Pediatric Echo Committee at the American Registry of Diagnostic Sonography. She is passionate about advancing new technologies, such as 3D echo and automated software, to enhance patient care. Her clinical interests include reducing radiation and contrast exposure in the cardiac catheterization lab, utilizing 3D echo for pre-surgical planning, and implementing quality improvement initiatives in the echo lab. Her research focuses on advanced echo, with recognized expertise in 3D and interventional echo. She co-directed the inaugural Chicago 3D Echo Academy and contributed as a co-investigator in a Phase 4 multicenter study evaluating contrast agents in pediatrics. Her publications explore the utilization of 3D echo, interventional echo, contrast echo, and strain.
