About This Program

The Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinical practice is comprised of a specialized care team within Digestive Health, a clinical partnership between Ascension Seton and UT Health Austin.

The Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD) care team diagnoses, treats, and manages the complexities of IBD, including ulcerative colitis (UC), Crohn’s disease (CD), and pouchitis. The Director of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, Linda "Annie" Feagins, MD, has more than ten years of experience in treating patients with IBD and is a key thought leader in this field.

Located in the clinical spaces at UT Health Austin with access to full-scale hospital resources, the Inflammatory Bowel Disease clinical practice provides the most advanced treatments available for patients in Central Texas and beyond with a focus on patient-centered outcomes, cutting-edge research, and medical education.

Treatment Approach

Patients are cared for by a dedicated multidisciplinary care team, meaning you will benefit from the expertise of multiple specialists across a variety of disciplines. Our board-certified and fellowship-trained gastroenterologists have extensive experience treating inflammatory bowel disease and work alongside a team of digestive health experts, including colorectal surgeons, gastrointestinal-specialized dietitians, clinical social workers, physician assistants, nurses, advanced practice providers, and more, providing unparalleled care for patients every step of the way.

As faculty physicians of the Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin, we are able to leverage collaboration throughout The University of Texas system. We collaborate with our colleagues to utilize the latest research, diagnostic, and treatment techniques, allowing us to offer treatment plans specific to your needs.
