Corey Chartan, DO, FAAP, is a board-certified pediatrician and pediatric critical care specialist in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin, and serves as the Medical Director of the Dell Children's Center for Pulmonary Hypertension. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of infants, children, and adolescents with pulmonary hypertension. Additionally, Dr. Chartan is an associate professor in the Dell Medical School Department of Pediatrics.

Dr. Chartan earned his medical degree from Nova Southeastern University College of Medicine. He completed both a residency in pediatrics and fellowship in pediatric critical care medicine at Baylor College of Medicine/Texas Children's Hospital. He also completed an instructorship in both pulmonary hypertension and extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) at Texas Children’s/Baylor College of Medicine, where he served as a clinical intensivist and pulmonary hypertension expert.

Dr. Chartan formerly served as the Associate Medical Director of the Right Ventricular Failure Program, Educational Director of ECMO, and Clinical Director of the ECMO Instructorship for Texas Children’s Hospital/Baylor College of Medicine. He also served as the Co-Primary Investigator and Conference Chair for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) grant funded Pediatric Paracorporeal and Extracorporeal Therapies Summit (PPETS) for 2022 and 2023. His research interests include patients with pulmonary vascular disease and right ventricular dysfunction as well as the role of mechanical support and surgical interventions available for patients with right heart failure. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization, the Pediatric Pulmonary Hypertension Network, the Pulmonary Hypertension Association, the Pulmonary Vascular Research Institute, the Society of Critical Care Medicine, and Travis County Medical Society.

Dr. Chartan is a pediatric pulmonary hypertension specialist with UT Health Austin.
