Clinical Biography

Sara O'Dell, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker with UT Health Austin Pediatric Neurosciences at Dell Children's, a clinical partnership between Dell Children's Medical Center and UT Health Austin. She is a medical social worker who provides direct support to patients with chronic illness and disabilities and their families. She is a social worker for the Pediatric Neurosurgery Clinic, the Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Clinic, the Pediatric Neuropsychology Clinic, the Pediatric Neuro-Ophthalmology Clinic, the Pediatric Traumatic Brain Injury/Concussion Clinic, and the Surgical Epilepsy Clinic.

Sara O'Dell received a bachelor's degree in social work and a master's degree in social work with a clinical concentration from The University of Texas at Austin's Steve Hicks School of Social Work.

Sara O'Dell provided social work services in the pediatric outpatient medical setting, in schools, and with children in foster care and young adults transitioning out of care. She has experience providing psychosocial assessments, case management services and supportive counseling. She is passionate about providing support to patients with chronic illness and disabilities and their families.
