A prenatal consult is an opportunity to “e-meet” your child’s future care team and to learn more about the services we provide prior to your child’s birth.

To schedule a prenatal consult or learn more, please call 1-512-324-0975.

Newborns are usually seen within 2-3 days of being discharged from the hospital. The pediatrician who cared from your newborn in the hospital may advise your baby be seen at an earlier or later date.

Preventative health well-child visits occur often in the first 2-3 years of life. For children between the ages of 3 and 21, well-child visits will occur on an annual basis. Any age-appropriate vaccines are determined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) immunization schedule.

Well-child visits should take place as follows:

  • 3 to 5 days
  • 2 weeks (as needed)
  • 1 month
  • 2 months
  • 4 months
  • 6 months
  • 9 months
  • 12 months
  • 15 months
  • 18 months
  • 2 years
  • 2.5 years
  • Annually from age 3 to 21

At your children’s preventive health visit, we will discuss your child’s overall health, development, growth, behavior, nutrition, and sleeping habits as well as address any additional questions or concerns you may have. Each visit will include a comprehensive physical exam, any age-appropriate vaccines as determined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) immunization schedule, and any age-appropriate screenings, such as vision tests, hearing tests, and lab work.

For acute care visits, we will conduct a thorough physical exam, perform any appropriate diagnostic testing, and develop a personalized treatment plan.

For all appointment types, please arrive 20 minutes prior to your child’s appointment time to complete paperwork.

If your child is transferring from another practice, please ask their former pediatrician’s office to send us your child’s medical records prior to your child’s scheduled appointment date and time via fax at 1-512-324-0976.
